Flexibility in plan design gives employers a choice in copayments. The copayments selected allow members to know in advance the cost of their prescription when they use a contracting pharmacy.

BlueSCRIPT
BlueSCRIPT is an electronic claims processing service that can help members not covered by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois prescription drug card program eliminate paper claims and save money on prescription medication. To automatically receive the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois pharmacy discount, members simply present their medical ID card to a contracting pharmacy at the time of purchase.

Non-HMO Mail Service Prescription Drug Program
The Mail Service Prescription Drug Benefit Program is a standard part of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield prescription drug program. The benefit is available to members with our prescription drug card program, as well as those with BlueSCRIPT, the electronic claim service. Medications are conveniently delivered to their home and members are able to take advantage of the discount arrangement with the mail service pharmacy.

HMO 90-Day Supply Program
The 90-day supply program can save members both time and money. The program gives members the option of obtaining a 90-day supply of maintenance medications through a network of contracting retail and mail services pharmacies.
